Early Learning Children Thrive in the Transition to Prep

As a teacher, I’ve witnessed firsthand the positive effects of Kingsley College Early Learning, the way the children have settled into school, and their readiness for learning. They came to Prep with a sense of enthusiasm and curiosity, eager to explore new concepts and engage in educational activities. The smooth transition facilitated by Kingsley College Early Learning has set a positive tone for the rest of their schooling journey, laying the groundwork for future academic success and personal growth.

Personally, moving from New Zealand to Australia has been an incredibly positive experience for me and my family. Although it took me awhile to find my feet, one of the most heartening aspects has been witnessing how well the Prep children have settled well at school. Kingsley College has played a significant role in facilitating our transition. The warm welcome extended by the school staff and fellow parents has helped me feel supported and encouraged.

What I love about our Prep students

As the Prep Teacher at Kingsley College, I’ve observed several positive things among my students that highlight their growth, development, and enthusiasm for learning:

  • Curiosity and Eagerness to Learn: One of the most rewarding aspects of teaching prep children is witnessing their natural curiosity and eagerness to learn. They approach each day with a sense of wonder and excitement, eager to explore new ideas, concepts, and experiences. This innate curiosity serves as a driving force for their learning journey and fosters a love for lifelong learning.
  • Resilience and Perseverance: Prep children demonstrate remarkable resilience and perseverance in the face of challenges. Whether they’re learning to write their letters, solve simple math problems, or navigate social situations, they exhibit a determination to succeed and a willingness to keep trying, even when faced with setbacks. This resilience is a valuable trait that will serve them well in their academic and personal lives.
  • Joyful Learning Atmosphere: Perhaps most importantly, the Prep class radiates with joy and enthusiasm for learning. From the laughter and smiles that fill the classroom to the genuine excitement they express when discovering something new, it’s evident that the children find joy in the learning process. Creating a positive and supportive learning environment where children feel valued and empowered contributes to their overall academic success and well-being.

Overall, teaching the Prep class at Kingsley College is a rewarding experience filled with moments of growth, discovery, and joy. The positive qualities and traits exhibited by my students serve as a testament to their potential and inspire me to continue to foster a love for learning in every one of them.
