We were thrilled to host our first-ever International Women’s Day breakfast, a vibrant gathering that brought together students, teachers, parents, and community members to honour women and girls everywhere.

The event took place at a local Rockhampton cafe, Coco Brew, and we were served all types of breakfast items! However, the morning was more than just a delicious meal; it was a powerful opportunity to reflect on the meaning of International Women’s Day and unite the women in our community.
We were particularly honoured to have Marlene Botha as our guest speaker. Marlene is an emerging leader at Kingsley College and has brought a wealth of experience, character and joy to our community. Marlene shared parts of her personal story and the challenges and triumphs faced along the way, but impactfully focused on how the best contribution we can make to our family, our work, our friends, and the world is becoming the best version of ourselves.
“My hopes for you are that you will find your “Why” and your “Purpose”. That you will equip yourself in every opportunity that arises, and that you will lead by example by serving, saving and strengthening others.”

It was also particularly special to have our Senior Students lead the proceedings. It was a fantastic opportunity out of the classroom for students to serve others and lead the room in prayer.
As a College community, we were delighted to celebrate this occasion with a yummy breakfast, meaningful connections, laughs with friends, and an empowering speech. Thank you to all who joined us – we are looking forward to next year!
