Prep Students at Kingsley College Learn with Imagination

Our Preppies have been busy exploring shapes, places and the much-loved story of The Three Little Pigs, engaging in a range of creative and hands-on learning experiences that are helping to build strong foundations for their learning journey.

As part of their learning, students created artwork showcasing their favourite places to visit, giving them the opportunity to share their experiences and talk about the people and places that are special to them. They also used cut-out shapes to create self-portraits, developing their understanding of how simple shapes can be combined to represent the world around them while strengthening their fine motor skills and creativity.

Inspired by The Three Little Pigs, our Preppies designed and built their own houses and later practised drawing houses during an art lesson. Through these experiences, students explored problem-solving, imagination and early design thinking while learning that there can be many different ways to express an idea.

At Kingsley, we love fostering a genuine love of learning from the very beginning. By providing opportunities for students to explore, create and make connections through play and hands-on experiences, our youngest learners are building confidence, curiosity and a sense of joy in discovering the world around them.
