In the Workplace
Every year our Year 10 students venture out to their chosen industry and spend a week getting a taste of the workplace. Kingsley College strives to provide learning experiences in a real world context, engaging student’s hearts, heads, hands and feet, solving real problems in lives and communities around us.
In accordance with this focus, work experience is a fantastic way for a student to reflect on their interests and strengths, research careers and pathways, build work ethic and resilience, and step out of their comfort zone!
This year, we had students take part in a range of communities.
These included:
- Veterinary Science
- Barbering
- Hair Dressing
- University Lecturing
- Mechanical
- Early Childhood
- Youth Work
- Carpentry
- Electrician
- Retail
- Hospitality
We hope that they take away key learning values from this opportunity. We believe that these tools empower students to make informed decisions about their future careers and aspirations.
We are incredibly proud to see Kingsley College represented so well in these workplaces by fantastic students!
